Adewale Adeleke, Davido's older brother, celebrates as rumors circulate that singer and wife Chioma have welcomed twins
Adewale Adeleke, the elder brother of Afrobeat singer, Davido, has seemingly confirmed reports that he and his wife, Chioma, have welcomed twins.
This morning, news broke that Davido and Chioma had become parents to twins.
Davido further fueled the rumors by hinting at Chioma becoming ‘Maba Ibeji’ (mother of twins) in one of the songs on his album, Timeless.
In a song titled ‘In The Garden,’ featuring Morravey, Davido’s lyrics say, “Abi mo meji, mama Ibeji”.
The singer also tweeted on Sunday that this week would be the best week of his life.
Adewale Adeleke has expressed gratitude to God, further adding to the speculation.
Although he didn’t reveal the reason for his gratitude, he simply tweeted, “We thank God”.
Nigerian clergyman Pastor Gospel Agochukwu of Shekinah Arena International Ministries has also confirmed the birth of Davido and Chioma’s twins.
In a Facebook post, the clergyman congratulated the couple on their new bundle of joy.
He shared a screenshot of a WhatsApp message, confirming that his prophecy from last year has come true. According to the chat, someone claimed that the couple welcomed twins – a boy and a girl at 9 p.m., although the date wasn’t revealed.
Recall that the clergyman had previously revealed that he received a divine promise that Davido and Chioma would have twins.
If the news is true, the birth of their twins would bring joy to the couple who had previously lost their first child, a baby boy, at three years old.
