Alan Jones’ $12.25m seaside hideaway

Amid broadcaster Alan Jones’ considerable property portfolio, a more recent waterfront purchase is perhaps his most celebrated.

Last year Jones bought a luxury coastal home from two leading NRL figures.

According to The Daily Telegraph, in February 2022 Jones bought a Gold Coast home from power couple Brett and Rebecca Frizelle for $12.25m

The Frizelles own their successful eponymous Queensland car dealership group and are co-owners of NRL outfit Gold Coast Titans. Rebecca an OAM recipient was the first female char in NRL history.

The Frizelles bought the main river home in 2013 for $4.2 million, and then undertook a renovation over two years under the guidance of architect Bayden Goddard.

It has one of the best views, stretching across the river to the city skyline spanning from Southport to Broadbeach.

The 5-bed home sits on 1099 sqm and boasts two spacious living rooms, a 20m lap pool, a wine cellar with tasting room, and a wet bar.

It was marketed through Michael Kollosche of the Kollosche agency.

Jones still owns a Crown Towers, Surfers Paradise apartment that cost $332,000 in 1997.

In February, Jones sold his Southern Highlands home for a record $12.8m.

He also owns a unit in Circular Quay’s toaster building worth around $3m.
