American comedian who was killed in Colombia posed with bevy of beauties and joked about being kidnapped before he was lured to his death
The late American comedian, Tou Ger Xiong from Minnesota, was well-known for his activism. He was seen posing with his Colombian girlfriends in pictures before he was allegedly lured, kidnapped, and killed. Xiong shared a video on Facebook showing him smiling with an unnamed redhead at a Korean restaurant in Medellin on Oct. 20. In the video, he joked about being kidnapped and advised not to look for him if it happened, saying he was happy. Furthermore, he had returned to Medellin earlier in the month to meet a woman he had been communicating with online.
After a phone call to his roommate stating that he was at gunpoint and had been kidnapped, his body was later found in a ravine, with multiple stab wounds and blunt force trauma. His brother mentioned that Xiong had been in contact with the woman he was to meet and was aware of the high incidence of tourist kidnappings in Colombia, but he never felt unsafe visiting the country. Xiong’s family is cooperating with law enforcement in Colombia to investigate the crime and repatriate his body. The Woodbury, Minnesota community, where he lived, has been deeply affected by his tragic death.
