Bruce Jenkins Obituary, A Cherished Soul Has Sadly Died
Bruce Jenkins Obituary, Death – I was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Judge Bruce Jenkins this morning. I had the honor of clerking for him over four decades ago, and he has remained a cherished friend and mentor ever since. Our time together, especially at his cabin in Millcreek Canyon, holds a special place in my heart.
Judge Jenkins was an embodiment of dedication and diligence. As a judge, he displayed an unwavering commitment to the outcome of every case that crossed his bench. His extraordinary intellect and impeccable memory never ceased to amaze me. During a recent lunch together, he effortlessly recalled the details of cases we had worked on together, leaving me in awe.
At the age of 37, Judge Jenkins achieved a remarkable milestone by being elected as the President of the Utah Senate, even as a Democrat. Conversations with him about his legislative experiences and seeing his portrait in the Senate hall were always enlightening. His tenure in the Senate was marked by significant accomplishments, as he championed numerous pivotal pieces of legislation.
My thoughts and condolences go out to Peggy and their family during this difficult time. Judge Jenkins left an indelible mark on all who knew him, and his memory will undoubtedly be a blessing to us all.
