“Chasing Happiness is a Waste of Time,” Kiitan Bukola Fires Back at Trolls Accusing Her of Exploiting Helpless Women for Money
The Yoruba actress, Kiitan Bukola, has hit back at a troll who accused her of staging situations involving helpless women for fundraising purposes.
This all began when Kiitan Bukola shared a post she had come across on social media regarding netizens ridiculing a woman who claimed to have been raped and subsequently had a child. According to the woman, Nmachukwu Blessing, she had been seeking ways to make a living but was hindered due to her baby’s health condition.
Upon seeing this, Kiitan Bukola took to her own platform to rally support from her fans and followers in order to assist Blessing and her child.
“I was scrolling through Instagram as usual when I came across a cruel comment from some trolls directed at a lady. I felt terrible about how someone could be so heartless with their comments, so I decided to visit the lady’s page, send her a message, and I realized that she truly needed the help. I have done my part though,” she said.
However, this gesture didn’t sit well with a troll who accused the actress of conspiring with Blessing Nmachukwu to deceive her fans for financial gain.
The accusations provoked the actress, who then provided a clarification on her attempt to aid the unknown woman. She even went as far as sharing evidence of the money she had sent to the woman. She concluded by cursing the troll for making baseless allegations against her.
“I staged it, and I sent my hard-earned money. You will never find happiness henceforth,” she stated.
