EPL: Former AC Milan Star Calls for Manchester United to Fire Ten Hag for Mistreating Ronaldo
In a recent interview, Kevin-Prince Boateng, a former AC Milan player, has urged Manchester United to take action against manager Erik ten Hag for his treatment of Cristiano Ronaldo at the club.
Boateng believes that Ten Hag, in his current capacity, is not fit to be a coach for Manchester United. He criticizes the Dutchman’s handling of both Ronaldo and Jadon Sancho while at Old Trafford.
“I think he [Ten Hag] has got to go,” Boateng expressed during an episode of Vibe With Five.
“From what I am seeing, there is no energy. I don’t see any energy.
“And then what he did to Ronaldo and all that, it is too much stuff. I think he is not on the level to be the coach of Man United.
“Even the team is not the best, they have some good players but not the best.
“But still there is no fire. When you come to Old Trafford, it’s like how you said, they put in a ball and there is no pace, no one gets angry, no one puts in passion and fire. If my players are not doing that then me as a coach, I have to do that.”
Boateng further explained his issues with Ten Hag’s treatment of Ronaldo, stating, “He was the top scorer, and he just kicked him out, he goes against the best player in the team, you don’t do that, you have to give him respect. There’s ways to let a player off, and I think he chose the wrong way.”
Regarding the conflict between Ten Hag and Sancho, Boateng continued, “I think both are wrong, but you don’t have to put it out that way.”
