Ex-NRL star Braith Anasta and fiancee Rachel Lee call off engagement

NRL great Braith Anasta’s six-year relationship with fiancee Rachael Lee is reportedly over after it was revealed the pair were going through a “tough time” in September.

The pair started dating in 2016 before having daughter Gigi in 2018. The pair both have children from previous relationships. Anasta has eight-year-old daughter Aleeia with ex-wife Jodi Gordon, and Lee has Addison, 11, from a previous relationship.

The pair were engaged in 2019 following an adorable proposal including their couple’s kids but wedding plans were sidetracked by the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Daily Telegraph reported the pair had broken up, following the September rumours the relationship was over.

At the time, Anasta denied rumours the pair had split, saying they were “trying to work through this for us and more importantly for our beautiful family and our amazing children”.

“We have always been private and we ask for privacy during this time,” he added.

But Lee was spotted out in Sydney without her engagement ring.

The Telegraph reported when Anasta had posted the statement to his Instagram Stories, the pair were already living separately and were co-parenting their children.

The Daily Mail reportedly Lee had unfollowed Anasta on Instagram and had removed any mention of his name from her account bio last month.
