How Much Does Naked and Afraid Pay - Alone is a surviving reality competition show where two survivalists (One man and One woman) have to survive for 21 days in the most ungracious landscapes. Each survivalist is allowed to bring one item, such as a machete or a fire starter. The partners must build a shelter and find their food and water all by themselves. They have to survive with less assets and limited food sources. From building their own shelters to scavenging for food, they have to survive even with minimal amenities and options. In 2014, Naked and Afraid revealed that the contestants would be paid $5000 each in cash. They would also be given return flight tickets to the survival challenge location, along with two days night stay in a hotel. It was also revealed that even though there is no prize money, the contestants are paid weekly stipend to compensate for their lost wages. The success of the last task shows their ability to survive in a harsh environment, and that is their main prize.

The contestants are selected only if they are fit enough to participate in the show. The applicants must be US citizens above 18 and should not suffer from any medical conditions. The applicants are also tested on the skills and knowledge required to survive in the wild.

About Naked and Afraid
Naked and Afraid is an exhausting competition for the participants, which happens in the remotest corners, wrapped profound in the wild. Every Season of 'Naked and Afraid' follows many survivalists who participate in the show to overcome their fears and prepare themselves to survive in incredibly gruelling conditions after being dropped off in the wild. The contestants are provided with cross body satchels containing a personal diary/camera and a map. The contestants wear identical necklaces with a center bead, a microphone with a wire that connects to a wireless audio transmitter hidden in the satchel. Some personal jewellery is also allowed. The thirteenth season of the show started on August 1, 2021.
