Bobo grew up in Manhattan Beach and developed proficient surfing skills during his teenage years, embarking on surfing trips along the entire West Coast. He attended Humboldt State University in Arcata, California.

His fascination with the Bigfoot mystery began at an early age. During his surfing days, he frequently ventured into Bigfoot territories, hoping to catch a glimpse of one from the beach. He later became a roadie for the band Sublime and extensively traveled and toured with them, while collecting reports and knowledge about these creatures and their habitat. Even during his college days, he searched for a university located near Bigfoot sighting areas and spent significant time in the woods in hopes of encountering them.

Bobo’s passion for Sasquatches only intensified over time. Following college, he took on various jobs such as logging with Native Americans, constructing roads, and commercial fishing in Northern California, all endeavors aimed at gaining insight into the Bigfoot legend and the desire to encounter the creatures. He claims to have spotted his first Bigfoot in 2001 during an investigation with former Bigfoot researcher John Freitas. This sighting, along with several subsequent ones, greatly fueled his passion for Sasquatches.

His enthusiasm for Sasquatches eventually propelled Bobo into the television industry. In 2007, he appeared in the documentary “Operation Nightscream 2003”, participating in the investigative team searching for Bigfoots in the Pacific Northwest. He was later cast in the Animal Planet documentary television series “Finding Bigfoot” in 2011, as a member of a team of researchers and explorers investigating potential evidence of Bigfoot in the wildernesses of the USA and Canada. His involvement in the show has significantly contributed to his popularity and net worth.

Aside from “Finding Bigfoot”, Bobo has made appearances as a Bigfoot researcher in other television projects such as the documentary series “Monsterquest”, the comedy TV series “The Soup”, and the short documentary “American Bigfoot”, all of which have added to his net worth. Additionally, his work as a commercial fisherman has been another source of wealth.

Regarding his personal life, Bobo has maintained a degree of privacy. He has not publicly disclosed details about his marital status or other aspects of his personal life.
