Juventus striker, Dusan Vlahovic denies reports that he’s had an affair with his Serbian team-mate’s wife
Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic has rebutted the ‘absurd’ allegations linking him to an affair with a teammate’s wife which supposedly led to his limited World Cup game time for Serbia.
Vlahovic, who has been in stellar form recently, began both of Serbia’s World Cup group stage matches on the bench and did not even get a chance to play in their 3-3 draw with Cameroon. Rumors swirled that his exclusion from the starting lineup was due to an alleged affair with the wife of his Serbian teammate, goalkeeper Predrag Rajkovic.
The Serbian media claimed that Vlahovic’s lack of playing time was a consequence of his involvement in an affair with the national reserve goalkeeper’s wife. However, the forward has refuted such claims.
Addressing the issue during a pre-match press conference, Vlahovic expressed his disbelief at the circulating rumors, calling them “absurd.” He also conveyed his commitment to protecting his name and integrity, stating his intent to take legal action if necessary.
Separately, the woman involved, Ana Cakic, took to social media to dismiss the allegations and instead revealed that she had been caring for her son in the hospital over the past month.
Ana Cakic is married to Predrag Rajkovic, the goalkeeper for the Serbian national team and Mallorca. They tied the knot in August 2018 and have two children together. It is worth noting that there is currently no information available regarding Vlahovic’s dating life.
