Kobe Bryant's daughter, Gianna, also passed away in the helicopter crash
The 13-year-old daughter of Kobe Bryant, Gianna Maria Onore, was also a victim of the helicopter crash that took the life of her father.
Kobe Bryant, the legendary basketball player aged 41, was flying with his daughter in his private helicopter on their way to the Mamba Academy for a basketball practice when a fire broke out, leading to the chopper spiraling from the sky, as reported by TMZ.
Kobe Bryant and Gianna were two of the five people who lost their lives in the crash in Calabasas, California on Sunday morning, January 26, 2020. Another player and their parent were also reported to have been on the helicopter.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office confirmed on twitter that five people died in the crash.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
