Man kills fiancee in front of their baby in murder-suicide

The horrific event occurred in front of their 11-month-old daughter, Alani, who was left crying in her crib.

According to a friend of the teacher, the couple had been trying to work through their issues, including alleged infidelity on Hicks’ part. However, Diaz’s rage seemed to stem from various factors, including suspicions about paternity and the aftermath of Hicks’ abortion. The deteriorating relationship was exacerbated by living with Diaz’s family, and Hicks’ drinking habits had also become a source of conflict.
