Matthew Perry Dined Out with a Female Companion the Day Before His Tragic Death

One day before his shocking death, American-Canadian actor Matthew Perry was spotted enjoying a meal with an unknown woman at the Hotel Bel-Air.

The 54-year-old Friends star seemed to be in high spirits as he shared a table with the lady at the Hotel Bel-Air in Los Angeles, California on October 27.

Witnesses reported that the pair spent more than an hour and a half together before leaving, with Perry reportedly paying more attention to his companion than his food, as per TMZ.

Throughout his career, Perry had been in high-profile relationships, including with Lizzy Caplan and Gwyneth Paltrow. Following his 2021 engagement to Molly Hurwitz, reports suggested that he felt lonely and yearned for a wife and family.

Those close to Perry disclosed that he desired a fulfilling relationship and stepchildren due to his close bond with his stepfather, Keith Morrison.

According to a source close to the star, “Matthew always dreamed of having the perfect family. He wanted a wife, and at least a couple of kids. And he said he wouldn’t even mind marrying a woman who already had kids.”

“Lately, the star has been looking for love again. But a string of failed relationships left him feeling sad and depressed, and as if he would never find that love he longed for,” the source continued.

“Matthew dated dozens of women. But in the end, he always felt they were only interested in his money and his fame. And he was generous to a fault.

“He would shower women with gifts only to have them pack up their goodies and walk away.”

“In the end, I think his years of fighting demons… Drugs and alcohol… Took a toll on him, and on his health, and eventually he would end up alone again.”

Investigations into Perry’s death are still ongoing, however, officials have said there are no indications foul play was a factor.

He is believed to have drowned, although an official cause of death has not been announced.  

The first responders at the scene revealed that when Perry was discovered by his assistant, he was found underwater before she raised his head in an attempt to help him breathe.

When the Los Angeles Fire Department arrived at his Pacific Palisades home, it was too late as the actor had already passed away.

A 15-second dispatch call surfaced, revealing the moment his assistant called 911 to report a possible cardiac arrest.

Perry had been vocal about his past struggles with alcohol and substance abuse, but he claimed in recent interviews that he was clean and sober.

In his memoir published last year, Perry disclosed that he had spent $9 million in efforts to get sober. He also revealed that he had attended 6,000 AA meetings, been to rehab 15 times, and detoxed 65 times.
