53 year old Mike Tyson to make his first fight in 15 years against Roy Jones Jr in September - Report

TMZ reported that “Iron” Mike will face Roy Jones Jr. in an 8-round exhibition known as Frontline Battle, which will be available on Pay-per-view and the social media platform Triller.

“The fight will be held in California and sanctioned by the California State Athletic Commission,” the report stated.

“The event will feature an undercard and live musical performances from top artists. Since Triller is backed by big stars like Snoop, Lil Wayne, Future, The Weeknd, Pitbull, Marshmello, and more, the entertainment is expected to be stellar!”

Tyson retired from boxing in 2005 and has not fought since, but he has been showcasing his rapid boxing skills and toned physique on social media. On the other hand, Roy Jones Jr.’s most recent fight was in Feb. 2018, and he believes he is capable of competing with Tyson after consistent training.

TMZ also mentioned in its report about the fight, “There’s more … we’ve also learned Triller locked up the rights to a 10-part docuseries featuring Mike and Roy preparing for their fight, with 2 episodes releasing every week until fight night, streaming on the platform.”

Roy Jones Jr., aged 51, has held titles in 4 different weight classes, namely middleweight, super middleweight, light heavyweight, and heavyweight.

Tyson has confronted substance abuse and weight struggles since retiring from the sport nearly two decades ago, but he claims to be in the best shape of his life, and the proceeds from the fight will be donated to charity.
