Reasons behind Sandra Iheuwa’s broken marriage with Mr. Thompson
Sandra Iheuwa, a businesswoman, recently disclosed the causes of her separation from her ex-husband, Mr. Thompson, also known as Royal Hair, during an interview with Nedu Wazobia on the Honest Bunch podcast.
According to Iheuwa, the marriage ended because Mr. Thompson expected her to fulfill traditional domestic roles, which she found unreasonable, especially during her high-risk pregnancy. She emphasized the importance of finding a kind man, as many Nigerian men expect their wives to endure hardships to be considered a ‘good wife.’
Despite having a paid chef and a maid, Mr. Thompson insisted that Iheuwa should cook and supervise the chef, as well as perform cleaning duties. As a successful CEO and businesswoman, she found these demands to be unreasonable.
Iheuwa also clarified misconceptions about her personality, stating that she will stand up for herself when necessary but is not a troublemaker by nature. She also addressed the misunderstanding regarding her relationship with Ubi Franklin, distinguishing him as a boyfriend rather than a husband.
Reflecting on her growth and relationships, Iheuwa shared that she moves on from men who misbehave, embracing a ‘soft girl era’ focused on her well-being, financial independence, and enjoying the kindness of others.
