Teenager arrested for breaking into Michael Jordan’s $15m Chicago mansion
The police have reportedly arrested an 18-year-old for breaking into NBA legend Michael Jordan’s $15 million mansion in Chicago. The 60-year-old Jordan was not present at the property at the time, but the teenager was found inside the building after neighbors alerted the police on Tuesday, April 4. The local media has named the teenager as Raiden Hagerdorn, and he has been charged with criminal trespass and two counts of criminal damage to property.
Jordan has not resided at the property since 2012 and has been attempting to sell it for 13 years, initially listing it for $29 million. However, its latest value, according to TMZ, is just under $15 million. The mansion boasts nine bedrooms, 19 baths, an indoor basketball gymnasium, pool, tennis court, and cigar room. The gates to the property are personalized with the No. 23, symbolic of Jordan’s iconic NBA career with the Chicago Bulls.
Jordan achieved great success during his career, winning six NBA championships with the Bulls and receiving the MVP award five times. He retired in 2003 following his time with the Washington Wizards.
