The Cooperation Between Nigeria and US to Combat Terrorism Strengthens

Strengthening military bilateral relations with the United States of America is a key priority for Nigeria in order to intensify the fight against terrorism and other organized crimes within the country, according to the Minister of State for Defence, Muhammed Bello.

A visit by Bello to US Congresswoman Betty McCollum at the Capitol in Washington led to an agreement on enhancing military ties between the two countries, as stated by the minister’s Director of Press and Public Relations, Henshaw Ogubike.

Emphasizing the significance of the current bilateral relations between Nigeria and the US, the minister reiterated President Bola Tinubu’s strong commitment to eradicating terrorism through collaborative efforts.

United States House Committee on Appropriation for Defence leader Betty McCollum expressed the US’s dedication to supporting Nigeria in its fight against terrorism and other security threats by offering assistance in intelligence sharing, training, and military hardware production.
