US soccer star Megan Rapinoe claims injury in final game as proof of absence of divine existence

US women’s soccer professional, Megan Rapinoe, announced that her career-ending injury, occurring just three minutes into her final match, has led her to believe that there is no higher power.

According to the 38-year-old, she is “pretty sure” she tore her Achilles tendon during the NWSL Final, marking the conclusion of her illustrious career.

‘I’m not a religious person or anything and if there was a God, this is proof that there isn’t. This is f***ed up,’ Rapinoe expressed in a post-game interview.

Rapinoe’s retirement match saw her team, OL Reign, suffer a 2-1 defeat to Gotham FC following her early departure due to the injury.

‘For sure, I tore my Achilles,’ confirmed Rapinoe in a post-match press conference, describing the incident as ‘the worst possible outcome.’

The veteran player expressed her devastation at the untimely end to her final game, injecting some dark humor into the situation.

Rapinoe continued to lighten the mood with jokes, stating, ‘I guess I just rode until the wheels came right off!,’ and humorously addressing her future as ‘a normal-ass regular person’ undergoing rehab.

She emphasized the importance of finding silver linings and maintaining a sense of humor in challenging times.
